Mental illnesses are biologically based brain disorders that can profoundly disrupt a persons’ thinking, feeling, moods, ability to relate to others and capacity for coping with the daily demands of life.

Assistance for those in need of support, crisis intervention, and help promoting their rights.

Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Naloxone) is an overdose education and Naloxone distribution program with the Medina County Health Department. Participants learn how to:   

Recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.   

Make an emergency 9-1-1 call.  

Perform rescue breathing.  

Administer Narcan® (Naloxone) to someone experiencing an opioid overdose.

Available to adults,18 years and older. Please bring a photo identification. There is no charge for the training or response kit.
